BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF DR. IOANNI KALOGIROU
Gynecologist Surgeon Obstetrician IOANNIS KALOGIROU was born and raised in Athens.
He graduated from the 1st Lyceum of Kifissia with honors.
He graduated from the medical school of the University of Athens in 1996 & from 1997-2005 specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Greece and Great Britain.
His tenure as curator at one of the largest university hospitals in England, UHW 2000-2003, stands out, the educational leave from the University of Athens where he visited the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Dutch hospital Enschede in 2003 (natural and home birth) and his move to the USA, 2004 – 2005 where he worked in the assisted reproduction department of the University Hospital of Philadelphia.

- Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Great Britain
- Great Britain Diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health (DFFP).
- State ultrasound diploma in Obstetrics - Gynecology
- Certification in the performance of diagnostic colposcopy by HSCCP (N:000013)
- Trainer of Trainers of Emergency Obstetrics (ALSO)
- Doctor of the Medical School of the University of Athens on the topic of premature birth
Gynecologist Surgeon Obstetrician IOANNIS KALOGIROU has been trained and retrained in assisted reproduction and laparoscopic surgery at the university hospitals Cardiff University Hospital (England) and Penn University Hospital (USA).
He has worked alongside leading international laparoscopic gynecologists such as Richard Penketh UK (England), Nasar Amso (England), Christos Coutifaris (USA).
He has extensive experience in recurrent miscarriages applying international guidelines and protocols and as an obstetric emergency instructor in high-risk pregnancies.
He is a member of more than 10 Greek and foreign scientific societies.
On 13/09/2021 he was elected a member of the board of directors of the Hellenic Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.
In 2005 he founded the womanclinic Kalogirou specializing in the field of Gynecology & Assisted Reproduction and since 2019 has integrated new departments of Urology - Andrology as well as aesthetic Dermatology & applications laser.
