Mathiopoulos Monica
Dr. Monica (Lemonia) Mathiopoulou maintains her private practice in the center of Athens (Megaro Musikis area). He graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.P.Th.), where he was admitted after the Panhellenic exams. This was followed by her specialization in Endocrinology.
He worked in major tertiary hospitals of the country (Hippokrateio Thessaloniki, Theageneio Thessaloniki, University General Hospital of Ioannina). He then went abroad (Newcastle, UK) where he worked in the Endocrinology Clinic of the Royal Victoria Infirmary, and specialized in thyroid diseases (autoimmune thyroid diseases, thyroid cancer, thyroid diseases in pregnancy), as well as in Diabetes Mellitus (DM1, DM2, pumps insulin, gestational diabetes).
As a specialist he worked in Athens at the Cancer Hospital Ag. Saturday. He has received a grant from UEMS for clinical research in autoimmune thyroid disease (Grave's disease). Clinically, he deals with the diagnosis and treatment of the majority of Endocrinology-Diabetes and Metabolism diseases. The personalized and holistic approach to patients, based on the latest data of medical science, is its main goal.
