Egg donation is carried out in the IVF departments of Iaso and Rea Maternity Clinics with the approval of the hospitals' legal department and always in collaboration with the Reproductive Physician Ioannis Kalogirou.
WHEN IS THE DONATION OF HOURS RECOMMENDED?
The egg donation program makes it possible to achieve pregnancy in the following cases:
- Women with early menopause.
- Women with low egg quality.
- Women aged 43-50 (Over 50-54 only with special permission)
- Women with chromosomal problems or genetic diseases, which make the outcome of a pregnancy impossible or problematic.
- Infertile couples, in which the woman has undergone chemotherapy, which makes hormonal stimulation of her ovaries impossible.
We do not undertake the egg retrieval process nor do we monitor women who want to donate their eggs, nor do we perform surrogacy procedures.
